Alexandra Johnston is an emerging artist living and working in Toronto Canada. She is a current OCAD student majoring in Criticism and Curatorial Practices. Alex specializes in photo-realistic portraits in which she uses acrylic paint and/or coloured pencils to bring the subject to life and to showcase the subtle tonal changes in their skin, eyes and hair. She has been nominated for an Emerging Toronto Artist award for her skills in 2016 and has completed dozens of commissions for clients including Subway Restaurants Canada.
